The Polish consulting service market has undergone a rapid development throughout the last decade. Many of our projects directed to organizations have been successful and beneficial - however, to a large extent, based on intuitive interventions and limited methodological awareness. Now is the time to build a stable foundation and back up practical hands-on experience with a deeper and more thorough understanding of organizations.
This idea led to creation of the Organizational Change and Consulting School - a comprehensive course based on an original design from The Tavistock Institute in Britain. Working together with Jagiellonian University Extension, OCCS has been adapted to the Polish market.
Organizational Change and Consulting School is based on three main areas of competence:
Addressing systems psychodynamics in groups & across boundaries
Integrating these three skill sets provides participants with a well-structured basis for promoting long-term, sustainable change in diverse organizations. OCCS aims to provide consultants with the methodology and insight required to provide high-quality professional services in a complex and challenging environment.
participants:
The Organizational Change and Consulting School focuses on understanding organizations and consulting relationship. As such, it is of value to consultants specializing in diverse range of specific areas - from strategic and organizational structure consulting through HRM processes up to specialized IT systems implementation. Participation would be especially beneficial to:
professional consultants looking to support their specific expert knowledge with awareness of organizational issues and flexibility required to adapt implemented solutions
trainers, coaches and counsellors who wish to expand their skills of working with individuals and teams to encompass the context of the whole organisational system
experienced managers who look for a new career of supporting organizational development as internal or external consultants
To fully benefit from the course, participants are required to be involved in organizational change projects - in their own organizations or as external service providers.
about the programme:
Participants of the course should expect:
Immediate relevance to their own workplace and consulting challenges - based on experiential, active learning and use of cases from participants' professional practice.
A well-prepared theoretical basis for practice - useful knowledge rooted in organizational theory and system psychodynamics.
A strong experience of dynamic of the learning group - allowing the participants to understand more fully the processes present in their client systems.

Jean Neumann, PhD, works as both practitioner and academic in those applied social and behavioural science fields that make up organisational development and change (OD&C), organisational consultancy and related careers. She cares deeply about 'good' organisational change and development, completing over 400 projects with organisations who consider themselves thus engaged.
For 16 years, Jean served as both Director of Studies and a Core Faculty for The Tavistock Institute's Advanced Organisational Change and Consulting (AOC) programme. Jean co-founded AOC in 1991 with Dr. Eric Miller. As Fellow in Scholarly Practice for the Institute, Jean's action research manifests her dual intentions of using practice to inform a more critical OD&C theory of practice, and of improving the quality and integrity of consultancy available to those inside organisations and related social systems. She is 'shamelessly practical' in her research and publication.
